FEATURED ART BY DAVID BURLIUK
Original painting by the important Russian-American artist David Burliuk (1882-1967), often called the "Father of Russian Futurism, " a central member of the avant-garde movements in Russia. This is a classic Burliuk theme, depicting a rural, folkloric scene, likely a nostalgic vision of his native Ukraine. The painting is on cardboard (which he used on occasion) with what appears to be watercolor paints.

In fair to good original condition. There is visible wear, chipping, and rounding to the corners and edges, typical for an unframed work of this age. Strong colours and no paint loss or cracking in the main image.
